Frequently Asked Questions

Where Are You Located? Do You Offer Telehealth Sessions?

Our office is located in West Little Rock near the intersection of Cantrell and Sam Peck at 12511 Cantrell Rd #100, Little Rock, AR 72223. We share a space with Pinnacle Physical Therapy.

We do offer telehealth sessions. While most prefer in-person therapy, telehealth may suit some client's needs better. Many clients use a combination of both.

How Much Does it Cost?

Fees are $125 an hour for individual sessions and $150 an hour for couples or family sessions. We also offer a 15-minute consultation via phone, in-person, or online for those who'd like to know more before getting started. Simply click 'Request Appointment' located on the top of the home page and look for the option to select 'Initial Consultation.'

We can accept Health Savings Account Cards, Flexible Spending Accounts, Major Credit or Debit Cards, Cash, or Check. Our practice is self-pay only and we do not accept insurance at this time. We can work with churches to accept scholarships, and we do offer a limited number of sliding fee scale to qualified clients who could otherwise not afford therapy.

What Makes This a Christian Counseling Clinic?

Two Rivers Christian Counseling aims to serve all people, whether faith is a central part of their life or not. Our goal is to be open and not to exclude anyone from receiving quality therapy. This is important because we do not expect individuals to 'be in good standing' with their faith in God or to 'have it all together' when it comes to their spiritual life.

The founder, Kolton Thomas, is a practicing Christ follower, and he is simply offering a Christian perspective to those who welcome it and consent to having faith based discussions.

At Two Rivers, we approach therapy from a clinical foundation and we highly value evidence-based practices along with a wide range of therapeutic modalities. Therefore, 'faith-based therapy' will also include science-backed approaches and will be uniquely suited to each individual with a deep respect for his or her religious beliefs.

We know it’s important for many clients, and especially parents seeking therapy for their child, to understand the worldview of the therapist guiding them. We encourage clients to ask these questions openly with their therapist.

For anyone curious, Kolton would be happy to provide a personal statement addressing “faith in therapy.” Just reach out and he'll be happy to send it over to you.

What's Unique About Two Rivers Counseling?

When you walk through our doors, you’ll find that we’re genuinely invested in you and your journey. We understand that no two people have identical mental health needs, and that’s why we don’t use a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, we draw from a variety of therapeutic models, integrating faith and clinical expertise to create a personalized plan just for you. Our work goes beyond traditional talk therapy, offering actionable steps and structured treatment plans designed to create meaningful, lasting change.

About Kolton

Kolton earned his Master of Science in Counseling from John Brown University in Little Rock. He began his career as a licensed counselor after a decade of volunteer experience with non-profits in the area. His work with foster youth, survivors of human trafficking, and marginalized communities—both locally and in Haiti—fostered a passion for walking alongside hurting people to support them in their journey to overcome hardship and find holistic healing.

Kolton helps clients uncover the root causes of their struggles for lasting transformation, rather than surface-level change. He provides a supportive space for exploring complex questions of faith, spirituality, identity, and belief reconstruction. Experienced in guiding men to break free from unwanted behaviors like pornography, Kolton is also certified in inner child therapy, which centers on healing early-life wounds. In addition to individual work, he enjoys helping couples navigate stress and conflict to restore peace and intimacy in their relationships.

Kolton is married and an outdoor enthusiast, enjoying backpacking, kayaking, and fishing across the Natural State with his wife. Together, they attend a local church where Kolton helps lead worship and serves the community. Kolton and his wife are also musicians and appreciate the unique, grounding role music can play in personal healing and growth.
