Addiction Recovery
I (Kolton) know what it’s like to battle an addictive brain. Growing up in the first smartphone generation, I’ve worked hard to overcome addictive tendencies that can seem ever-present. In 2014, I thru-hiked the 2,200-mile Appalachian Trail. While the experience was incredible, it taught me that taking a break from technology isn’t enough. Addictive behaviors like gambling, alcohol, and consumption of explicit content persist until we address the heart’s root issues, heal childhood wounds, and find a supportive community to walk alongside us. This has been my journey, and it’s the foundation of the work I do with men in recovery.
In my addiction recovery work, I combine the roles of coach and counselor to help men gain clarity about the roots of their struggles and take actionable steps toward change. My approach moves beyond traditional ‘talk therapy,’ empowering men to walk in integrity, heal their inner child, and restore damaged relationships.
What I love most is guiding men to uncover the underlying causes of their behaviors for lasting transformation—not just surface-level change. That’s why I founded Reclaimed: The 10-Week Journey, a hands-on recovery program. I’m also certified as an Inner Child Recovery Specialist, using Dr. Eddie Capparucci’s Going Deeper: Understanding How the Inner Child Impacts Your Sexual Addiction to help clients achieve profound breakthroughs.
